Sagi's Signature Meatballs

Makes 6 servings, 5 meatballs each
Total Time: 40min
Prep Time: 20min
Cooking Time: 20min
Can be frozen and reheated easily.

Nonstick cooking spray
1 1/2 lb. lean ground turkey
1 tsp. sea salt
1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
1 lg. egg, lightly beaten
3/4 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
2 Tbsp. chopped fresh cilantro
2 Tbsp. all-natural tomato sauce

Preheat oven to 400; lightly spray a large baking sheet with cooking spray and set aside.
Combine all ingredients in large bowl; mix well and clean hands.
roll mixture into 30 1-inch meatballs; place prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 15 to 20min, or until no longer pink in center.

Sagi's variation:
Experiment with the following ingredient pairings for delicious meatball variations: 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh basil and 1 tsp. fresh lemon zest; 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce and 2 Tbsp. fresh parsley; 1 tsp. cumin and 1 tsp. chili powder; 2 tsp. hot sauce and 1/2 tsp. curry powder; 1 chopped fresh chipotle chile and 2 Tbps. chopped fresh cilantro; 2 tsp. chopped fresh jalapeƱo pepper and 1/4 cup finely chopped jicama.
